Broadening a search is useful when you are searching for topics to research. To broaden your research, start with an advanced search. If you can think of additional phrases to search a topic by, try to use the OR limiter and quotation marks. By including multiple ways to phrase your topic, a multitude of resources will populate. From there, you can broaden the search more by checking out the subjects and keywords in the sources. These may give you a more specific topic to research.
