Narrowing your search is important when your topic is too broad to do research that would meet the outline set for your project. Narrowing your search also gives you more specific information that can be useful in your reasearch. To narrow down a search, start with the advanced search. Try to fill out three of the search bars with different keywords related to your topic. From there, see what populates. Scroll past the first three results, and start to check out the keywords and subjects. Additionally, you can add a NOT searchbar to your research to exclude certain topics from your results. This limiter excludes the overlap between two topics. For more research tips, click the "Research" tag on this question to see other FAQs.
